On November 7, Premier Li Qiang of The State Council attended the eighth Leaders' Meeting of the Greater Mekong Sub-regional Economic Cooperation in Kunming. Heads of government of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam and presidents of the Asian Development Bank attended the meeting. The meeting adopted the Declaration of the Eighth Economic Leaders' Meeting on Greater Mekong Subregional Economic Cooperation and the 2030 Innovative Development Strategy for Greater Mekong Subregional Economic Cooperation.

Li Qiang said that since the past 30 years ago, the GMS Economic Cooperation Mechanism has increasingly become an important platform for China and Mekong countries to discuss cooperation and jointly promote development.
